This has to be the best cluster I’ve ever seen. I always forget how cool it is.

Wow, somebody actually followed the correct shutter to window size ratio.

That house sold for $975k in 2017. Not pictured: 180-degree view of the Puget Sound behind me in the photo.

Pretty ugly inside though.

Looks like it would update pretty nicely with flooring, paint, wallpaperectomy/fauxbrickectomy.

Haha... sure is!
[closes blinds and turns off lights]
Now no one can see the SHAME that is my home...

[[the joke is that my house is hideous compared to that one]]

Yeah, so with a house that big, like $50-100 grand worth of work.

I sympathize. My house has come a long way in the last 9 years, but it sure isn't done.

What the hell is “done” anyway? My garage door just broke. The list only gets longer. Ah well.

Psssh, I wouldn’t change a thing if I had that house. Oh wait, I’m married. Yeah, I guess I’ll change whatever she hates.

What? My house is totally done! (posted from below a half-finished drop ceiling by the light of a half-dead, flickering fluorescent light). I mean, I still have two bathrooms, a laundry room, a bunch of baseboards and 70% of a garage to finish. And the kitchen still has a lot of minor detail work to complete... What was I saying again?
![]() 01/14/2019 at 00:16 |

Well, if you have a million bucks to buy it, you probably have $50-$100k to update it!

I relate... 100%... If it weren’t for my wife finding things “ wrong” with our house I wouldn’t have changed a single thing in this house... because I’d still live in the old house.

There, there. No, right there: your

Good point.

You'd be surprised. I grew up in a pretty wealthy town. Now I work in a different wealthy town. Some of them are truly wealthy. Some of them are mortgaged up to their eyeballs, and couldn't afford to get Zoidberg's garage door fixed.

That’s a good point. I suppose it explains why my home’s previous owners sold it through bankruptcy court and everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about it wa s broken/worn out/half-ass repaired.

YEP! Financial irresponsibility knows no income level. No matter how much you make, you can always spend more.

So true... I can't even imagine what it would take to be able to live in the income I had just 8-10 years ago. Especially in the PNW!
